 Samsung/Bixolon SRP-370 Receipt Printer
Saint Paul, MN - CRS, Inc. has announced the release of the new Samsung/Bixolon SRP-370 series thermal receipt printer. The SRP-370 generates one-color receipts at 200mm per second and two-color at 90mm per second - more than 60% faster than leading competition.
For fewer paper changes, the SRP-370 accommodates paper up to 4 inches in diameter and when used in noisy kitchens, a built-in buzzer alerts employees when new requisitions are printed. The SRP-370 features fast drop-in paper loading, a standard partial or full auto-cutter, and is available with serial, parallel, USB or Ethernet interfaces. The modular interfaces can be easily changed without opening the cabinet.

 New BIXOLON Samsung Warranty Program
CRS is pleased to announce that BIXOLON Samsung has announced an improved warranty program for all BIXOLON Samsung printers. The improved warranty is effective October 1, 2005. Many details of the new warranty are explained in the attached five documents which include

Each of these documents will be posted on the CRS, BIXOLON and NSC websites.
This program was designed to satisfy customer demands for an independent warranty service source, independent product support and expedited exchange programs. It is important to note that these resources are available to end users, as well as dealers and distributors.
CRS has worked closely with BIXOLON Samsung to ensure a smooth transition to the new program and we are confident that there will be few complications. Of course, CRS will continue to provide award winning product support to its printer customers and CRS will be happy to assist its customers with the new warranty program as required.
NSC will administer the program using traditional date codes for qualification of product. Printers manufactured beginning 7/1/05 will automatically be covered. However, the three year warranty technically begins on the date that the printer is sold to the ultimate end user. Thus resellers and end users may provide proof when there is question as to a product qualifying for warranty. This is consistent with CRS' implementation of the previous two year warranty.
During the next week, CRS will provide information on exciting new BIXOLON Samsung on-site and depot service programs. These programs will provide additional profit opportunities to Resellers and remove additional identified sales barriers.
The CRS sales and technical support teams will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the new warranty program. CRS will also maintain a warranty FAQ area in its website for reference.

 New Samsung-Bixolon SRP-275 Impact Receipt Printer
St. Paul, MN - CRS has released the new Samsung-Bixolon SRP-275 transaction printer, a two-color dot-matrix POS printer that is 13% faster than the comparable Epson® TM-U220.
With drop in loading, paper can be fed and loaded within a few seconds under the harshest conditions. For added versatility, the SRP-275 is wall mountable, supports multiple paper widths and includes a standard internal buzzer. The new design integrates the unit's power supply in the printer housing, which results in simplified cable management, freeing up counter space and keeping the power supply and cables out of the way.

Bluetooth Wireless Interface for Samsung POS Printers
St. Paul, MN - CRS, Inc. has announced the release of the Samsung Bluetooth wireless interface option for its series of Samsung receipt printers. Samsung SRP 270 and SRP 350 series printers can now be purchased with the Bluetooth capability, or existing printers can be updated with an optional interface card. The ECR or PC host device interface is available for serial or USB connection.
Samsung receipt printers are used in many POS applications, including retail, quick service and fine dining restaurants. Often printers are remotely located, some distance away from the POS terminal in kitchens, preparation areas, or customer pick-up locations. Using wireless technology, retailers and restaurateurs can avoid the inconvenience and expense of running communication wiring. Bluetooth interfacing allows Samsung printers to be located up to 300 feet from the terminal.

CRS Publishes 2004 Catalog
St. Paul, MN - Volume 9 of the comprehensive CRS ECR, POS Peripherals and Parts Catalog has been published and is now available for ECR/POS resellers, VARs, and service organizations.
The 341-page catalog includes product offerings from all CRS sales divisions and includes POS terminals, ECRs, Cash Drawers, and POS Printers. CRS also stocks replacement parts for ECR/POS printers, electronic components, paper and inking supplies, keyboard components, and shop supplies. Service organizations throughout the world rely upon CRS’ legendary depiction and listing of replacement parts for ECRs and POS printers.

 Two Year Warranty For Selected Diamond Series Products
St. St. Paul, MN - Effective immediately, CRS has extended the dealer warranty on selected Diamond Series Terminals and Touch Screen Monitors from one to two years. Models affected include the IT 1000 and IT 2000 integrated POS terminals and the TM-1000, TM-2000 and TM-3000 touch screens. The change reflects the confidence CRS has in the reliability of the products and is designed to further reduce risk to resellers.
CRS released the Diamond Series in 2002, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of CRS. Diamond series terminals and touch screens are distributed by CRS to VARs and Resellers specializing in POS, Banking & Kiosk markets.

 Chinese/Korean Language Support For POS Printers
St. Paul, MN - Popular Samsung transaction printers can now be purchased in configurations that support complex Chinese and Korean character sets. With this new capability, CRS resellers can complete PC POS, banking, medical and kiosk applications where the Chinese or Korean language is used.
Because the Chinese character set contains thousands of separate characters, the Samsung SRP-350 thermal printer and SRP-270 impact printer require larger Flash ROM to support the font set. Both configurations are now stocked by CRS. Korean language character sets can be installed in standard SRP-270 and SRP-350 printers by installing free software upgrades available to resellers from www.crs-usa.com.

 New TM-2000 Flat LCD Touch Monitors
CRS is proud to release a two new flat LCD touch monitors to its Diamond Series product family. With a small footprint the TM-1000 and TM-2000 touch monitors are especially attractive and space efficient in POS Applications. A heavy weight metal base provides exceptional stability and durability. The large bright display is adjustable for clear viewing in high or low light environments and the touch interface increases accuracy and improves operator efficiency.
- The TM-2000 features a 15.1" active matrix TFT LCD monitor.
Both monitors feature resolution up to 1024 x 768 and an adjustable viewing angle from 70 to 240 degrees. An optional magnetic stripe reader can be integrated on the right side of the monitor. Cables and connectors are easy to access, yet safe and secure from interference.

New Diamond Series of Integrated Touch Screen Terminals and Monitors.
CRS is proud to release a new family of compact integrated LCD touch screen terminals. Designated the Diamond series to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding of CRS, Inc., these robust terminals are suited for retail, hospitality and quick service POS, as well as self-service kiosks, interactive information stations, medical and space critical environments.
With dual VGA chips, the 8000 series can function with multiple displays under Windows 98 and 2000. The optional secondary panel facilitates a variety of applications - such as displaying commercial information or as a POS customer display.
The Diamond Series also includes the IT-7700, a point-of-purchase display, price checker, GPS guidance unit or advertising display, and the TM-1220 LCD monitor for hospitality and retail applications.

 Samsung STP-102 Compact Thermal Receipt Printer

 Samsung SRP-500 Receipt Printer Features HP Inkjet Technology
CRS, Inc., the exclusive North American importer of Samsung receipt printers, has announced the addition of the Samsung SRP-500 two-color inkjet receipt printer to its family of economical POS printers. Developed by Samsung in alliance with Hewlett-Packard, the SRP-500 provides new opportunities for resellers in the fast growing global mini-printer market. Using HP's state-of-the-art inkjet technology, the Samsung SRP-500 combines high speed, consistent print quality, high reliability and low total cost of ownership.
In a market currently dominated by thermal and impact printers, the SRP-500 offers significant advantages. With thermal, print quality deteriorates over time. In retail and POS applications, where documents are often archived for tax purposes, the permanence of inkjet print is a major benefit. Printing at 6.5 lines per second (at 42 columns), the quiet SRP-500 is faster than impact printers. Ink dries instantly, preventing any smearing or ink transfer.
